This Year has gone by too fast.
I am so thankful for all the changes it has brought.
We are getting prepared to have our first Autumn/Winter in our new home.
We have made some changes to our new little place already on the outside by making our backyard totally private.
Our backyard is our little oasis.
My husband also built me a fire-pit, which is a dream come true.
Back when I was fourteen I had stayed with my Aunt & Uncle who lived in Wisconsin.
They had a little home surrounded by the beautiful Wisconsin forest.
It was there I learned how to shoot a gun, chop firewood, and drive stick- but I mostly drove that car into a tree… lol I haven’t tried driving a manual car since.
I had never really spent time in the country till then and I look back now and realize that is when my love of just being outdoors really started.
There is something about the aroma of the bonfire that just makes one feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
My uncle wold make the best campfire coffee ever and would sometimes make breakfast over the fire in the morning- and we would all sit around it with our coffee and talk.
Its a memory I will always cherish- and a memory I want to share with my daughters.
Zoey & Poet LOVE the fire-pit my husband made.
Roasting marshmallows and sitting around the bonfire when their dad gets home has become something we all look forward to.
I love that we are able to create these sort of memories for our children.
